The boat has a solid metal framework with inflatable sides it is VERY stable this allows you to enter the water easily and be closer to the animals than you would be in a traditional high sided boat. The floor is solid and textured for safe walking while underway. I just posted 9 pictures of the boat attached to my review from December 2017. I think they let up to 22 passenger on the boat at one time. This exact Durchschuss of boat is used on my favorite whale-watching excursion rein Maui as well.
